Milpitas police arrested two men for breaking into and stealing things from a storage locker at a facility on the 1600 block of Watson Court.
Daniel Gonzalez, 29, and Nouman Saleh, 27, both of San Jose, were found after the storage facility manager reported suspicious people there and said they may have entered without the proper security code, according to reports.
Officers arrived to find Gonzalez and Saleh loading items from an open storage locker into a U-Haul van, according to reports. Further investigation showed the padlock had been cut. The person renting the space came by and identified his things in the van.
Saleh also had stolen property from an unreported burglary at a storage locker in Santa Clara, according to reports. Investigators are looking into any connection with other storage-locker burglaries.
Both men were booked into Santa Clara County Jail and charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of an illegal narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gonzalez also was charged with providing a false name to an officer. Anyone with information should call Milpitas Police Department at 408-586-2400; report it anonymously at 408-586-2500; or submit it online.
