Three Men Arrested Thursday Night for Attempted Residential Burglary

The men, all Sacramento residents, tried to enter a home on Callan Street.

Three Sacramento residents were arrested in Milpitas last Thursday night for attempted burglary and conspiracy.

At 9:18 p.m., a woman called Milpitas police to report that the suspects tried to enter her residence on the 100 block of Callan Street, according to Milpitas Police Officer Trisha Young. They repeatedly rung the doorbell, but when they received no answer, jumped over a locked side gate into the backyard.

Milpitas Police officers, including a K-9 unit, then formed a perimeter around the residence. They told the suspects to exit the yard or the dogs would be released.

The suspects jumped the fence, and police located them prowling the backyard of a residence located on Tiny Street.

Two of the suspects, Yao Saechao, 24, and Chan Saechao, 23, were taking into custody without incident. Yao Saechao was in possession of items commonly used to commit residential burglaries.

Another suspect, Chanchew Saelee, was in a car nearby, believed to be a β€œlookout,” according to Young.

All three were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail. Police encourage anyone with more information about the incident to call the Milpitas Police Department at (408) 586-2400.
