Police believe Jesus Mora, Armando Sandoval and Michael Bryant robbed an elderly woman in Milpitas and an adult male in Fremont on July 2.

Milpitas and Fremont police have identified 20-year-olds Jesus Mora and Armando Sandoval, both of Oakland, and Michael Bryant, 20, of Fremont, in connection with the armed robbery of an adult male in Fremont and robbery of an elderly woman in Milpitas that occurred on July 2.

The robberies happened just hours apart, Fremont police wrote in a prepared report.

In the first incident, the suspects robbed an elderly woman of her purse in the Great Mall parking lot, causing injury to her in the process.

The second incident occurred at 10 p.m. that same day, in which the suspects followed a 47-year-old man who was leaving work on his bicycle to the intersection of Irvington Avenue and Fremont Boulevard in Fremont. Once at the intersection, two of the suspects reportedly exited their black Chevrolet Silverado, rushed the victim and threatened to stab him. The victim was subsequently robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and his cell phone, the report states.

The robberies were jointly investigated by Milpitas police and the Fremont Police Department Robbery Unit, with the Fremont Police Department SWAT team assisting in the arrests.

Mora, who had been released from state prison less than two weeks prior, was located and arrested in Castro Valley. Bryant, who was located and arrested in San Jose, was found to have a felony warrant stemming from a residential burglary case out of Hayward, the report states. Sandoval was arrested and located in Hayward.

All three have since been charged in connection with the Fremont armed robbery and could face charges in Santa Clara County stemming from the robbery in Milpitas, the report states.
