Expect nighttime delays on State Road 237 between Highways 880 and 680 for a few weeks as crews "micro-surface" the busy stretch of road.
Work typically will be 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday; 11 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday night; and 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday night, according to California Department of Transportation. Construction began Tuesday and will continue through July 6.
One lane of traffic will always be open while work is being done, according to Caltrans.
Micro-surfacing is a coating to designed protect pavement and prevent cars from skidding.
