Community Info Meeting: Water Rate Increases

The city of Milpitas will conduct a public information workshop on the proposed increase in water and sewer rates effective June 2. Residents are encouraged to drop-in and bring their questions or concerns.

The actual scheduled date of the public hearing where residents can comment is May 3 at 7 p.m. in city hall chambers. 

If more than half of the property owners contest the increase in writing, the city will not raise the rates, per state law. Property owners can contest the proposed rates in writing to the city clerk complete with name, date, address or APN parcel number, and mailing address if different. Deadline is Tuesday, May 3 before 5 p.m.
