Holiday Trash Collection and Christmas Tree Disposal

The City of Milpitas and Allied Waste will haul away your Christmas tree for you, if you follow these instructions.

Maybe you want to keep your holiday tree up until after New Year's, or maybe you're itching to get it out of the house now.

Either way, there comes the dilemma of - how to dispose of it?

The City of Milpitas and Allied Waste are happy to haul away your tree for you on your normal trash collection day, between Dec. 26 and Jan. 6. All you have to do is remove your stand, all decorations, and any nails. Flocked trees are accepted as well. Then, just leave the tree out with your trash bins on collection day.
