Local Congressman to Hold 'Telephone Town Hall' on the Economy

Congressman Mike Honda invites the public to dial in Thursday night.

Congressman Mike Honda (D-Campbell) will host a "Telephone Town Hall" Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. to discuss concerns over the future of the national economy - and he wants you to dial in.

Among the topics Congressman Honda is seeking feedback on, is concerns over the nation's debt ceiling, particularly since the U.S.'s international credit rating was downgraded in early August, wreaking havoc in the international stock market.

"Considering the effect that the ‘Super Committee’ and jobs, budget and tax proposals will have in setting our country’s priorities for years to come," he said, "I believe it is very important that a substantive discussion occur between neighbors, friends, families, and elected officials."
