Milpitas Water Rate Hike Coming
The water coming out of your faucet and sprinklers will cost more, starting July 1.
The same day that a $200 million cost overrun was announced for the rebuilding of Calaveras Dam in the hills above Milpitas, residents found a letter in their mailboxes from the City of Milpitas reminding us that the cost of water is about to go up.
The City charges for water based on hundred cubic foot (hcf), which equals 748 gallons. For every 10 hcf of water you use, the rate increases.
