Romney Visits Bay Area Tonight

The Republican presidential contender will be at a private fundraiser on the Peninsula.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is making a visit to the Bay Area today for a private fundraising event in Hillsborough, according to his campaign.

Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, will be attending a fundraiser at 4:45 p.m. at a private estate at Strawberry Hill, according to an invitation for the event posted on a website for a local Republican group.

Tickets for the event, which is closed to media, cost between $1,000 and $50,000 per person, campaign officials said.

Hillsborough police said parking will be prohibited and traffic will be delayed in certain parts of the town between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., including Skyfarm Drive, Macadamia Drive, Redington Road and parts of Eucalyptus Avenue.

Residents are advised to use alternate routes through the area, police said.

President Barack Obama is also expected to visit the Bay Area for a fundraiser prior to the November election.

The president's campaign announced Thursday that Obama will be visiting San Francisco on Oct. 8.

The dynamic duo of Romney and Ryan would drive the entire economy into a nose dive as long as it benefits the richest Americans. Income inequality is endangering the Middle Class and making paupers of us all who don’t have those millions upon millions of dollars. Read more about the role of Romney’s riches in this election and the power of his sacred undergarments at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/05/mitt-romneys-magic-mormon-underwear.html The working class of our country can’t AFFORD to allow this election to be bought and sold!

you are way to obsessed with Romney's undies, 4th post you trolled on about it. Once again Romney donated 30 % of his income and did not take the tax break, YOU probably got some of his charity money, seeing that you are on line about him and his undies incessantly, you may need to seek help.

just see the reality that the world and the economies are in really bad shape. whoever wins the presidency will need to grapple with struggling economies and tough situations. maybe the u.s. deserves better politicians than these. hold your breath and try to stay above water because it's gonna be a long ride

Indeed. Money was just way too easy to borrow - then it suddenly all dried up. Those who are still sitting on piles of money today are just not going to throw down unless they're pretty darned certain to make a nice profit. Watching the Left Loon government quickly write SIX TRILLION more in bad checks is no way to give confidence to private investors. It's going to be a long ride either way, but electing a conservative experienced businessman is our best and possibly only hope of making a real recovery.
