What to Expect at the City Council Meeting

The agenda includes a five-year forecast of general fund revenues and adoption of resolutions related to concessions made by five city unions/bargaining units.

Items on Tuesday's agenda include:

• A report to consider the restructuring of the Kinder Kids and Animal Crackers Classes at Milpitas Community Center. (Contact: Councilmember Polanski, 586-3024)

• Adoption of a water conservation implementation plan, called the 2010 Urban Water Management Plan, which contains per capita targets of water use for years 2015 and 2020. (Kathleen Phalen, 586-3345) Download the draft plan here

• To award printing bid for the community center activity guides to Fricke-Parks Press for $36,845.67. (Chris Schroeder, 586-3161) 

• A five-year financial forecast of the city's general fund revenues (property, sales, hotel and other taxes) in response to a request made by Mayor Jose Esteves. Download the two-page memo here.

• Adoption of resolutions to approve union agreements, which include concessions in retirement and salary. Two are side letter agreements and three are contracts, or MOUs. Each union made employee concessions for the city's budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. The police officers' union side letter was approved at an earlier council meeting.
