Beginning Manners and Obedience for Dogs

The Beginning Manners and Obedience for Dogs (also known as Canine Middle School) is a basic training class. Positive reinforcement training methods are taught.

Your dog will learn basic commands, such as:

  • Sit and Down
  • Stand and Stay
  • Come when called
  • Watch me
  • Wait and Leave it
  • Loose-leash walking
  • Sit for greetings

Housetraining and negative behaviors such as chewing and mouthing are also covered.

Beginning Obedience for Dogs is six Saturdays, with each session about 50 minutes.  Owners should attend the first class without their dog and attend classes 2 thru 6 with their dogs.  This class is for dogs 5 months and older.  Feel free to enroll your senior companion. You will be required to provide proof of current, age appropriate vaccinations.  Click here to review all our group dog class rules and policies.

The one-time class fee of $185 covers all 6 classes and is an investment in your dog’s future.
