Prepare Pets for Disaster

Disasters come in all shapes and sizes, and they can strike at any time. Our communities' best chance for helping their pets is themselves! Pet owners are invited to "Be Pet Prepared" by attending a free Pet Disaster Preparedness class at Humane Society Silicon Valley. This 1-hour educational course will show how to put your pet disaster kit together. Learn what materials are needed for your emergency kit as well as steps to complete your disaster plan. Pet handling demonstrations will be given, as well as helpful checklists and handouts to take home. Check out a sample pet disaster kit.  Drop-ins welcome!
