Mandatory Sports Meeting for MHS Parents and Athletes Thursday

Get ready for fall sports at Milpitas High. Attend the August 4 meeting for Boys' and Girls' Cross Country, Varsity and Frosh/Soph Football, Girls' Varsity and JV Tennis, and Girls' Varsity, JV, and Freshman Volleyball.

A message from Milpitas High School Athletics.

The mandatory fall parent/athlete meeting will be held this Wednesday, August 4 at 7 p.m. in the large gym.  

This meeting is for parents and athletes who intend to tryout for a fall sport at Milpitas High School. Items covered will be the MHS Athletic Code of Conduct, Waiver Cards, Parent’s Code of Ethics, Transportation Fee and information about tryouts. Parents and athletes will also meet with the coach of your specific team for more information.

A parent or a representative and the athlete must attend the meeting on August 4 in order for an athlete to participate in athletic contests. There will be a make up meeting (date and time to be announced), for all parents and athletes who cannot attend the August 4 meeting.

Parents may sign a waiver to have a representative take their place.  The representative may be a family member who is over the age of 18 and graduated from high school or an adult, who does not need to be a family member, as long as they are over the age of 25.

All athletes must have a physical before they may tryout for or participate on any CIF Interscholastic sport.  Milpitas High School will be offering a physicals on Wednesday, August 9 from 7–8:30 p.m.
These physicals will take place in the small gym at Milpitas High School.  (Cost $25.00)  The Milpitas High School physical form must be used whether having a physical at Milpitas High School or with the athletes own physician.  Forms are available at www.milpitasathletics.com under Links / Forms.

All athletic paperwork is due by the close of physicals (8:30 p.m.) on Tuesday August 9 in order to participate on August 12.  After that date, there will be a 3-day waiting period, after the paper work is turned in, before an athlete may start participating.  Paperwork can be turned into the Main Office of Milpitas High School, the MHS Athletic Office, or to any MHS Fall Sport Coach. All athletic paperwork, including the physical form, must be obtained on line at www.milpitasathletics.com  under  Links / Forms.

Fall sports at Milpitas High School are Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country, Varsity and Frosh/Soph Football, Girls’ Varsity and JV Tennis, and Girls’ Varsity, JV, and Freshman Volleyball.  See above for date and times of the first try-out or practice.

A $100.00 Athletic Donation is requested from all players per sport. The Athletic Donation Form must submitted prior to the athlete being allowed to participate in athletic contest, regardless if a donation is submitted.  The donation is essential for MHS to continue to provide athletic teams for their students.
