What's On the Agenda for Tuesday Night's School Board Meeting

Summer education programs, raised developer fees, and adding an additional AP class to Milpitas High will all be discussed.

The Milpitas Unified School District Board of Supervisors is slated to approve an summer enrichment program for this summer at its Tuesday night meeting.

The program, conducted by Milpitas Adult Education Programs, will provide summer classes for the eight through twelfth grades. The two 12 day sessions are slated to start June 25 and end July 27.

The morning sessions will cost $215 per student, while the all-day sessions will go for $415 for the all day session. For those who want to observe a class, there will be a $3 per hour drop in classes.

For its action items, the Board will also be voting on raising local developer fees to $3.20 per square foot for residential property, and adding Advanced Placement Economics to the Milpitas High School curriculum. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Board’s main office (Building 500, 1331 East Calvaras Boulevard).
