Punk Rock Band Playing Milpitas HS Concert

Pounders will entertain local teenagers on March 19.

San Jose-based punk band Pounders is making the rounds, playing shows with well-known bands all over California.

Next week, Pounders will make lunchtime at Milpitas High School a little more exciting by playing a concert for the students on March 19.

Pounders formed in 2007. According to the band's website, "their style blends infectious melodies, catchy hooks, driving bass lines and snappy rhythms."

Over the past six years, they've shared the stage with chart-topping bands like Neon Trees, OK Go, Alkaline Trio and more.

Last summer, lead singer Chris Pounders auditioned for the Fox singing competition "X Factor," and spoke with Campbell Patch about his experience.
