More than 350 students from Russell Middle School participated in the promotion ceremony Thursday. The students walked onto the Milpitas High football field as 8th graders and emerged as freshmen.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Ivy Nguyen and Lea Acuna, Justin Cortex, Marhiel Laya. Agnes Yee sang the national anthem. The middle school reflection was delivered by Maya Guhan and Amy Nguyen. The principal is Laura Foegal.
