13th Annual Dream Mile ½ Marathon, 10K Run, 5K Walk/Run, and Carnival

On Sunday, May 22, you and your family and friends can choose to run or walk along the picturesque trails at the Joseph D. Grant County Park, in San Jose, before enjoying an exciting family style carnival, at Bay Area’s Vibha’s 2011 Dream Mile.

The Bay Area Chapter of Vibha will join many other Vibha chapters throughout the United States that are also holding similar events on the very same day.  All Vibha Dream Miles held that day will benefit under privileged children in India and in their local communities.  The San Francisco Bay Area local beneficiaries are My New Red Shoes.  (My New Red Shoes help homeless and very low-income kids to succeed in school by providing them with brand new clothing.) And, Door Step School (Door Step Schools use innovative programs to bring education to the poor children in urban areas.)

All participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, beverages, and enjoy after-race food, refreshments, and entry into a fun-filled carnival, featuring live music, games, dance Mehndi, face painting, great food, message, henna, and more.  Awards will be given three-deep to the finishers in each male and female age category in 10-year increments.  Special awards will go to the overall male and female finishers.   Race timing and results will be provided by On Your Mark Events.
