Birds in a Changing Climate

Bilingual/English Program Series: Birds serve as a great indicator of the effects of climate change in the Bay Area. Bird behaviors are synchronized with seasonal patterns such as temperature, ocean upwelling, rainfall and flowering. Shifts in these patterns are disrupting species life cycles which result in breeding failure and reduced suvival. Today, as the rate of warming increases, scientists are exploring how climate change will affect birds and how we can reduce our impact. Particpants will play a climate chnage game, go on a guided walk, and explore the habitats at the bottom of the bay. Recommneded for ages 10 and up. Dress Warmly!
