Giants World Series Trophy On Display in San Jose Monday, Thursday

The display is part of the Giants' trophy tour to promote the team's Junior League Baseball League.

The San Francisco Giants' World Series trophies from 2010 and 2012 will be on public display in San Jose today and Thursday, team officials said.

The Giants' World Championship Trophy Tour, which is bringing the trophies to cities throughout Northern California and elsewhere, will be in San Jose from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the Health Trust-Family Resource Center at 46 Race St.

On Tuesday, the trophies will be at Soquel High School in Soquel from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. They will then travel to Stockton on Wednesday.

The tour comes back to San Jose between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday, when it will stop at the San Jose Municipal Stadium at 588 E. Alma St., home of the Giants' minor league team, the San Jose Giants.

Fans may take photos with their own cameras while standing in line, and once they reach the front of the line they can get their picture taken with the trophies by a professional photographer.

The team recommends that fans arrive early, as Giants representatives will decide on a cutoff point in the line when the viewing time is over. Fans will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Giants' trophy tour is meant to promote the team's Junior Giants Baseball League, a free, non-competitive baseball program for boys and girls ages 5 to 18 in California and parts of Nevada and Oregon, team officials said.
