MEN vs males

Commentary on the need for real men in our society

What this world needs is REAL MEN!  There are enough males around, but where the Men or the MEN in the MAKING?

Males, beat up women, abuse girls and boys, act like animals, hitting on every female that walks by.  Males are probably 'just males', because they didn't have a real MAN for a father  It is a sad commentary when many boys and girls don't have an 'in-house' man who is involved in their lives.  Sometimes I feel like apologizing for the males species.

About the time I really get down on the current society, I look around and I see a percentage of our population that are real men.  They go to work. They make a living, no matter hard it is.  They talk to their wives.  They choose to marry rather than live with a woman.  They get involved with their kids.  They look that little boy in eye and say "Here is the law!".  It's interstign to watch the look of respect they give to their father.  The boys and girls see a man of morality (often a spiritual man of God) who says, 'Live as I do, not just do as I say!'  They are not afraid to declare, 'I'd take a bullet for my wife or kid', but understand what the wife really needs is a guy who comes home at night, can take out the trash, diaper a bottom, lift a hand to help, do a little homework with a kid, get down on the floor and wrestle with them.  You know ... love his wife by doing.

Yes, for me, and my three adult sons, I'm in the business of being a REAL MAN.  I'm going to fall down, but I'll get up.  I'll look up and know God is 'up there' so I can call on His Name.  Then I'll look at my sons, and with joy I'll see that they are following in my footsteps.  They are a father to their kids, an honorable husband to their wife.

Let's hear it for REAL MEN!
