Milpitas Food Pantry Featured in Second Harvest Food Bank Video

Many are familiar with Second Harvest Food Bank - particularly during the holiday season, when the organization needs its highest number of donations to help underprivileged families survive during the colder months as well as have happier holidays with their loved ones.

This year, the Second Harvest Food Bank has filmed a promotional video that not only explains what the organization needs most from donors during the 2011 holiday season, but shows viewers just how much their donations help real families out there.

The video includes footage shot at the Milpitas Food Pantry, and features a heartfelt interview with a Milpitas mother of three who describes just how much the Milpitas Food Pantry has helped her family.

Milpitas Food Pantry Director says, the pantry is always in need of donations such as canned food, fresh produce, clothes and accessories, shoes, diapers and other baby items, toiletries, canned food, frozen dinners and more.

During the holidays, the pantry also welcomes new as well as gently-used toys and gifts. Some are given to organizations such as Toys for Tots, and some are kept for food pantry clients in need of gifts for their children.

Volunteers are always welcomed as well.
