Thanks to Humane Society Silicon Valley, Peanut the three-legged dog has healed from his injuries and found a home for the holidays.

In just a few days, we will tack up a new calendar! And we’ll be starting a fresh year of new challenges.

We at HSSV hope you will consider making an end of year gift to jump start our work in 2012. Your tax-deductible donation helps us find homes for animals like Peanut. Peanut was homeless and injured, but now sleeps each night with her person, loved and cherished.

Peanut was a stray with a broken leg that came to Humane Society Silicon Valley after her leg was amputated at one of our partner shelters, San Jose Animal Care Center. The caring staff at that shelter had fallen in love with her and wanted to make sure she could heal in a foster home. They asked us to take her.

She found a home with a new person and now has a pair of cats for friends. As you’ll see from the video, they are twice her size!

With your help, we can continue to care for animals like Peanut in 2012. When you’re thinking back on 2011, think about all of the animals in our community who needed our help and a new home. And while you’re thinking about ways you can continue to help animals in 2012, go ahead and make a difference today.

Thank you!
