We only had a partial power outage in our house some of the lights worked and some of them didn't.

However, in our condo community, there was some power in parts of each unit (we checked with our neighbors). By 9, that disappeared as well. There were also a number of fire trucks that started heading out right after the power outage. We were wondering if the two events were linked in any way. Hope this gets resolved soon!

Not in the hills. The only snakes I have seen were at city hall.

A 3 point anything is not that big of a deal. You can experience 3 pointer just being next to either I-680 or 880 as trucks and traffic go by. Now a little over a year ago, this same geologic neighborhood delivered a 5.4 and THAT was something that got my attention. It's worth noting that this is an area where the Calaveras fault northernmost boundary meets up with the Hayward fault 's southernmost boundary. Should the Hayward fault experience some notable tectonic movements, we'll definitely be feeling it down this way as plate movements in the one will and could influence the other.
