It seems a giant can of worms has been opened. You're welcome to toss tenure but please, do not getRead More rid of basic due process. I've worked for too many folks who think due process belongs somewhere else and NOT in the teaching profession.

It's about time! Being parents in Los Altos, a district considered one of the top in CA, we haveRead More seen utterly underperforming teachers cruising along just because they think they are "safe". Think about our children, please!

I don't agree with Los Altos resident. Most of the under performing students don't do their work andRead More disrupt the class for the other kids that do their work. Most parents don't want to be bothered making sure their kids do their home work and study for their tests. I have seen this time after time. This is just another attack on teachers and I wonder if this attack is only against elementary, middle school and high school teachers. Is the suit attacking college teachers? It should because there are just as many "bad' teachers in college as anywhere else.

We have to make people aware that our State is run by public employee Unions and we need court casesRead More like today which ruled that the California Teacher Tenure rules are unconstitutional so that we can change laws and vote people out of office who do not represent the interests of the public who pay the taxes.

Something that is interesting to note is that high school grads are going to four year universitiesRead More and studying subject that isn't marketable. While on the other hand you have people getting vocational training at vocational schools that essentially guarantees them a job out of school that will make them 'x' amount of money. So it isn't that college degrees are worthless, some are. It is also said that sometimes trade school is the right choice! Congratulations Lisa on your "2013 Outstanding Volunteer" award by superintendent and MUSDRead More board and your outstanding contribution in MHS Athletic Booster Club. Congratulations and many thanks to Coach Bobby for working with our kids on football ground. While it is good to get kudos from MUSD board and superintendent, asking the question and making to improve the score will only improve future of our kids, specially when we are paying more to our schools in measure B and measure E.

What would be more interesting is a follow up story on why the reporter is using incorrect data .Read More Curious on what the ranking of MHS would be with the current published API score and current data on college ready graduates.
