The trucks of Allied Waste Services haul away ourMore garbage, recycling and yard waste to Newby Island Sanitary Landfill and The Recyclery.</p> <p>The only holiday with NO pick-up service is Thanksgiving and the day after, when the job is deferred to the following day (Thursday pick-up moves to Friday, and Friday pick-up moves to Saturday).</p> <p>The Newby Island facility can accept up to 4,000 tons of solid waste per day. Industrial waste and construction debris can also be processed here. It serves the cities of Milpitas, San Jose and Santa Clara.</p>
