The Milpitas location offers a number of on-site services, too. Sign up for training sessions with PetSmart accredited instructors to get Fido or Fluffy in line (but bring a current vaccination record!), or just clean them up with the store's pet grooming service. The Banfield Pet Hospital is a fixture in virtually every PetSmart store around the country, so you can also find veterinary services on location. Adoption fairs are held at the store nearly every weekend, but those who are anxious to adopt can come into PetSmart any day of the week to view all the animals who need a good home.

As a member of the Pet Care Services Association, this boarding facility adheres to a stringent code of petMore ethics.  Felines are fed premium food twice a day, or according to a particular diet. The Cat's Nest also has adoption services for cat lovers looking for a new furry family member. Boarding fees are $19 a night or $450 a month. The Cat's Nest uses single-mold cages to allow light in and retain the cat's natural body heat to stay warm, as opposed to the traditional metal cages often found in kennels.

This new state-of-the-art facility offers a dog park, a pet store and a vet clinic. Some of the Humane Society'sMore services include: vaccinations, spaying/neutering, microchipping, pet food delivery and grooming. But above all, this shelter prides itself on saving animals' lives.  

The organization's website posts hourly updates on adoptable animals. In one year, 3,500 dogs, cats and critters found new homes. HSSV also has an open-shelter policy, which accepts pets turned in by their owners for a fee.  

The Society's full-time staff of 80 and an active volunteer team of 650 people keep its operations running smoothly. Fundraisers like the Walk n' Wag attract hundreds of pet lovers with their dogs in tow.
