The Milpitas Post is a free weekly newspaper published every Friday, delivered to homes and various locations in theMore city.  The Post covers local government, school board, crime, youth sports and events. In 2000, founders Mort and Elaine Levine sold the paper to <a href="http://www.medianewsgroup.com/">Media News</a>, the parent company of the San Jose Mercury News.  The current editor and publisher is Robert Devincenzi, who started as a reporter at the Post. He helped author a book, <i>Milpitas: Five Dynamic Decades</i>, that chronicled the history of the city. A popular issue comes out each September featuring the <a href="http://bestofmilpitas.com/">Best of Milpitas</a> Readers' Choice awards where individuals cast ballots for nearly 250 different categories.
